At Ripe Events our goals are simple - brilliant food, responsibly sourced and prepared, delivered with exceptional service.
We always work closely with all of our clients to create bespoke menus which are tailored to their individual event - whether it's a wedding for 200 guests or a dinner party for a few close friends. We will interpret themes and concepts to design a menu that is interesting, exciting and individual.
All of our food is prepared in our 5-star hygiene rated commercial kitchen in Bentley, Suffolk.
We are incredibly lucky to be based here in Suffolk - surrounded by fields, rivers, estuaries and stunning coastline - all supplying us with incredible local ingredients. This also means our county is full of exceptional artisan producers such as bakers, butchers, fishmongers, smokehouses and dairies. We feel it is our responsibility to source as much of our produce as possible from as close to home as we can. Not only does this keep our food mileage as low as possible, it also helps to support small local businesses, and ensures the highest quality ingredients make it to your plate.
As well as a wealth of cooking experience, we also know what it takes to deliver personable and efficient service, and we understand how important it is to your event. We can also offer a complete event management service for larger projects.
Founder - Joe Howgego
Joe took his first job in a restaurant kitchen the day after his 16th birthday, with no idea of where it would take him. Over 15 years on, and having worked in numerous kitchens across Suffolk and London, he is never happier than when cooking for others. With a vast experience of both high-end restaurant cookery and large event catering, he started Ripe Events with the aim to seamlessly combine the two.
